Campground Review: Sycamore Grove, Red Bluff CA

Why we chose here? We wanted to break up our drive from the Russian River to Mount Shasta.  Just needed a simple spot to stay and rest our heads for a night or two.

Location: The park is near the river a few miles out of the town of Red Bluff. The town is small and doesn't have a whole lot to do. But it's right off Interstate 5 and was perfect for our stopover.

Sites: Nice paved pull through sites, some with hookups. Very well spaced, although we were there during the week and there were very few people there.
Facilities: There is a boat ramp that seemed quite busy and a decent hiking/biking trail.

Groceries: Red Bluff has a Raleys store, that is large and actually really well stocked.  It is right next to Walmart.

Reservations: Yes

Cell Coverage / WiFi: Cell coverage was good for AT&T.

Price Paid: $20 dry

Date of visit: July 2014

Other:  There is a large working dam, that is quite noisy nearby. Having lived in a city, we are not very bothered by noise but some people might be.

Would we come here again? Yes as a stopover for a night or two.
