Why we chose here? We had seen pictures on other blogs of this area and thought it looked really scenic. We knew we wanted to visit Salt Lake City, so this was a convenient stop before we reached there.
Location: Absolutely beautiful spot. The island is the largest in the Great Salt Lake. The scenery is terrific, with beautiful sunsets and sweeping vistas. Bison roam the island and we saw hundreds of them along with graceful pronghorn deer. There are plentiful hikes on the island and an interesting historic ranch to visit. We chose to relocate to the town to get a closer look at Salt Lake City, but this park is close enough that you could use it as a base to explore the area.
Sites: Large pull through sites with a shelter, table and fire ring. The campground at Bridger Bay is graded so everyone has a view but the sites at the north side of each loop have the best views, not obscured by other rigs. (sites 2,4,6 & 8 on the lower loop, and sites 11,13,15 and 17 on the upper loop)
Groceries: It is best to bring things with you, but there is a store a short drive over the causeway in Syracuse.
Reservations: Yes. We didn't need them, but did have to move once to stay through the weekend.
Cell Coverage / WiFi: Poor coverage, marginal on most of the island.

Other: This is one of the most scenic spots we have visited, but the insects are bad, we were both covered in bites when we left there. Suggest strong insect repellent when visiting here.
Would we come here again? Yes, this is definitely a prime camping location. Will make sure we get "Deeted up" next time.
