Campground Review: Hilgard Junction State Park, OR

Why we chose here?  This was a convenient overnight stop between the Columbia River Gorge and Boise, Idaho.

Location: Right off the highway but it's not the busiest road so it didn't bother us. There are some nice walks around here, but this was not really a "destination stop" for us.

Sites: 18 dry sites. There is water in the park. Nice sized sites with fire rings and tables. Many back onto the river.

Groceries: There is a Safeway in nearby La Grande.

Reservations: No only FCFS sites.

Price Paid: $10 dry

Date of visit: Sept 2014

Would we come here again? Yes, if we were driving through this is a great little spot to rest your head.
