The nearby Watson Lake |
Location: This is a great spot just a few miles away from the downtown historic district in Prescott. . The RV park is right next to the Watson Lake City Park, where you can kayak and hike around the lake right from the campground. It is also a short walk to the Peavine Trail which is a geat walking or biking trail.
Sites: There are two loops with full hook ups. We stayed in the upper loop. The spaces are well separated and some of them back up to the rocks. This feels much more like a campground than an RV park.
Facilities: The showers and restrooms were clean but a little dated. With full hook ups we didn't use them. There is a laundry on site, and the office staff were super friendly. They have limited supplies and a large selection of DVDs and books to borrow.
Groceries: Prescott has our three favorite places, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Sprouts.
Reservations: Yes, this seems like a busy campground, but we had no trouble securing a spot a few days before we showed up.
Cell Coverage / WiFi: Good AT&T and Verizon. There is WiFi at the office and laundry that was actually pretty good.
Price Paid: Good Sam discount brought the price to around $28 with full hook ups.
Date of visit: April 2015
Would we come here again? Definitely a great spot, close to town and the scenic lake.
