Campground Review: Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, NV

Why we chose here? We were making some ground between Lake Tahoe and Jackson Wyoming. We don't like to drive more than about 200 miles a day, so this was a convenient place. We don't normally like to stay in RV parks but the forest campgrounds in the area were too far from the freeway to consider for a one night stop.

Location: This campground is in Wells Nevada a city located at the intersection of 80 between Reno and Salt Lake City, and the 93 heading up to Idaho.  We didn't explore the area at all as we just wanted a rest stop for the night.  This is located just a mile off the freeway and is surrounded by pretty mountains

Sites: All sites have a full hook-ups and a picnic table.  Typical RV Park setting in rowa.  The sites are large enough that we didn't have to unhitch.

Facilities: As well as full hook ups, they have showers and a laundry.  We didn't use any of the facilities as we were just here for a night.

Groceries: We didn't shop for groceries while here, but I believe there is a Roy's in town.

Reservations: Yes, although we didn't make them and they told us they rarely fill up.

Cell Coverage / WiFi: Good for both Verizon and AT&T. They have WiFi which we didn't try.

Price Paid: $32 for full hook-ups. Good Sam Rate.

Date of visit: June 2015

Other:  Although we don't care for RV parks, this one was well kept, and the staff were very friendly. It was perfect for an overnight stop.
