Campground Review: Longhorn Ranch RV Park, Dubois, Wyoming

Why we chose here? We had family coming to visit and needed to find a park that also offered lodge or cabin accommodation.

Location: The park is just 3 miles outside of the charming western town of Dubois. The town is very remote, 90 miles from Jackson or, in the other direction, Landers and Riverton are almost 80 miles. We did go into Yellowstone for the day from here, but it is a very long drive. We left at 6,30am to get to the park entrance before the crowd.

Sites: For a RV park this is very spacious. We chose a riverside spot and it was delightful. Every site has full hookups, a picnic table and a fire ring. There is a choice of back-in or pull throughs. There are a few tent only sites too.

Facilities: Laundry, Shared BBQ grills, pavilion, horseshoes

Groceries: Dubois has a reasonable supermarket (SuperFoods), which is fine for basics. I would recommend stocking up more specialized items before you get here.

Reservations: Yes

Cell Coverage / WiFi: We had only 3G for Verizon, and 4G for AT&T.  This was a spot where we were very glad to have both providers. The park has WiFi, but we found it too slow to be useful.

Price Paid: $52 Full Hook-ups. Good Sam

Date of visit: June 2015

Other: The staff here are great and the facilities are immaculately kept. There are lots of canada geese by the river and we saw deer regularly.

Would we come here again? Yes. It was a beautiful spot.
