Campground Review: Bear Canyon RV Park, Bozeman MT

Uninspiring back in spot, but nice views.
Why we chose here: We wanted to explore Bozeman and ran out of time on our previous stay at Livingston, so decided to spend a couple of nights near town.

Location: The park is a few miles east of Bozeman but it is a pretty short drive into the city. The park itself is in a rural setting and even though we had a simple back in spot it opened up to a beautiful view of rolling hills.

Sites: They have multiple sites types. We got the last available spot in the park so no real choice for us other than a simple back in with water and electric. Even though we had no sewer there is a dump at the park. The back in spots are close together and you have to park next to your rig but there is a grassy area at the back with terrific views, so it is actually pretty nice.

Facilities: They have a nice pool which we didn't try, but it seemed busy while we were there.  Also a laundromat which again we didn't stay long enough to use.

Groceries: Bozeman has a good variety of stores, including Smith's which we have grown to like. They also have a natural food co-op near the downtown area.

Reservations: Yes, we called the day before and got the last spot on a busy summer weekend.

Cell Coverage / WiFi: As usual we found their WiFi unusable but we did have good Verizon and AT&T coverage here.

Price Paid: $30

Date of visit: July 2015

Would we come here again? Maybe. We don't normally like staying n RV parks, but the choices close to Bozeman were limited. The state parks are expensive and only have a few FCFS sites,
