Why we chose here: We wanted a few days in Missoula to catch up on laundry and chores. There are very few forest campgrounds around here, so this looked like a good alternative.
Location: The park is about 20 minutes from Missoula. The small town of Lolo is close by. The park is set in a forest location and is more like a campground than an RV park.
Sites: Spacious and well maintained. Each one had a picnic table and hook-ups. Some pull throughs and some back-ins.
Facilities: They have showers and restrooms, there is a horseshoes pit, and of-course the Square Dance Hall. There wasn't any square dancing on when we were there. They have a cold water laundry and clothes lines to dry (no electric dryers).
Groceries: Missoula has the best grocery store we have been to on our travels Good Food Store. There is also a great Farmers market on Tuesday evenings in downtown.
Reservations: Yes
Cell Coverage / WiFi: We had good signal with both AT&T and Verizon. We didn't try their WiFi.
Price Paid: $32 for Water, electric & sewer.
Date of visit: August 2015
Other: This campground was well kept and the staff were super friendly, but there were a lot of long-term residents and we felt a little out of place here. Everyone seemed curious as to who we were and why we were in their neighborhood.
Would we come here again? Maybe, I would rather stay in a forest campground, and be further from Missoula.
