Campground Review: Sherwood Harbor Rv Park, Sacramento, California

Why we chose here: We were in repositioning mode from Washington to the LA area to catch a flight, after a few days of just one night stops we decided to hang out in Sacramento for a few nights to catch our breath and visit some local breweries.

Location:  This is actually really quite a pretty spot right on the river. Not too far from the city. Not much to do around here, but not a bad place to hang out for a few days.

Sites:  There are hookups, water and electric in the lower more scenic part of the park. The sites are quite basic, not paved and not level but very scenic and more campground feeling than many parks. Getting into the lower more scenic park is a little tricky too as there is a steep slope.

Facilities: There is a laundry on site we didn't try.

Groceries: Sacramento has all the usual places you would expect for a major city to stock up on everything you could need

Reservations: Mmm we called ahead but they were pretty blase and said to just show up.  The staff were super friendly.

Cell Coverage / WiFi: Good for Verizon and AT&T

Price Paid: $35 water/electric

Date of Visit: October 2015

Would we come here again? Yes, if I needed to be in Sacramento this is a pretty nice place to be based.
