Campground Review: Boondocking S. Cosnino Road, Flagstaff, Arizona

Campground Review: Boondocking S. Cosnino Road, Flagstaff, Arizona

Why we chose here: We had planned to visit Flagstaff in the Spring of 2015 but it was just too cold. This time as we began our fall journey south we hit the weather just right. We had heard good things about the city and in the end we stayed ten days to explore everything there was on offer.

Location: This is forest land very close to the Walnut Canyon National Monument, which is well worth a visit. It is about 20 minutes from town.

Sites: There are lots of boondocking spots along this road.

Facilities: There are some fire rings made with rocks by previous campers and trash and recycling at a picninc spot on the approach road. That's it.

Groceries: Page has a Safeway and a Walmart for your grocery needs.

Reservations: No.

Cell coverage / WiFi: We had good coverage here with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile

Price paid: $0

Date of visit: Oct 2016

Would we visit again? Yes definitely. Flagstaff has a great vibe with loads to enjoy.
