Campground Review: Lone Rock Beach, Nr Page Arizona
Why we chose here: There are lots of cool places to visit in the Page area, Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon. We even took a long day trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. This location is one of the most scenic in the area and seemed a good base for exploring all there is to offer.
Location: You can camp directly on the beach. We chose not too because it was very crowded and we got a front row spot at the gravel parking area which gave us amazing views without the concern of getting stuck in sand. Page itself is just meh, adequate but nothing more. Note: Lone Rock Beach is just across the Utah state line. Be prepared for regular time traveling and overall confusion during Daylight Savings Time every time you head into Page!
Sites: There are no formal sites here, just open camping. If you can get "front row" on the lower gravel parking lot then you are in for scenic sunrises and sunsets. There was some excessive generator noise here from our neighbors but it didn't bother us too much and the view made up for it.
Facilities: This is primitive camping. But they have a dump station on site and there are pit toilets. They have trash on site too. That's pretty much it.
Groceries: Page has a Safeway and a Walmart for your grocery needs.
Cell coverage / WiFi: We had good coverage here with Verizon. Enough for streaming video.
Price paid: $14 Dry

Would we visit again? Yes definitely. Very scenic and centrally located for visiting the amazing sites in the region.
