Campground Review: Cocopah Bend RV & Golf Resort, Yuma, Arizona
Why we chose here: We wanted to spend some time visiting friends who were wintering in Yuma and take a trip over the border to Mexico for some Tequila and prescription drugs. In the past we have boondocked in the area, but wanted to be closer to them to make the most of our time in the area
Location: The park is a few miles west of Yuma, close to the California state line and is surrounded by agriculture.
Sites: The are large gravel sites, with a concrete patio slab. No table or firepits, but full hook ups. Most of the spaces int he park are filled with manufactured homes, but a few rows are left for people just rolling through.
Facilities: There is a great pool and hot tub, tennis courts, a golf course and a small gym. We didn't try out the showers, but did use the laundry facilities, which were clean and had the nice touch of drying lines if you want to go more old school.
Groceries: Fry's Food & Drug is in Yuma
Cell coverage / WiFi: We had good coverage with Verizon. We didn't try the Wifi
Price paid: $297 weekly rate
Date of visit: Nov 2016
Would we visit again? Yes, although this is not our usual travel style, the park is very well kept and clean. The facilities are excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.
