All in Arizona
After a fun few days in Prescott, we headed south to the warmer climes of the Phoenix area. Although we don't much enjoy this area of the country due to the urban sprawl, we do really like Lost Dutchman State Park.
Northern Arizona is much more to my taste. Small friendly towns with real downtowns and a lot more character than their southern neighbors.
The southwestern US is stuff of legend. Giant red rock monoliths, steep, gigantic canyons it's hard not to feel like you are constantly on the set of a western movie.
Our favorite activity is hiking and we really hit the motherlode with our boondocking spot in Sedona. It's hiking-a-go-go here,
Our most recent post bemoaned the fact that we were over the sprawl of Phoenix and, so we thought, Arizona in general.
After spending the last 5 weeks mostly boondocking, we found ourselves in a proper campground again when we visited Lost Dutchman State Park.
