Campground Review: Mittry Lake, Yuma Arizona

Why we chose here? We knew we wanted to go to Los Algodones for dental work and so needed a place to stay near Yuma to cross the border.  We had read a few blog posts about this well known boondocking spot

Location: This location is quite remote, about 17 miles from Yuma.  There are a few hikes here, but it is quite dusty. Not much else here.

Sites: There are quite a few well established spoits, incldoing some very large ones which could accommodate multiple rigs.

Facilities: Trash at the picnic area

Groceries: Yuma has a few grocery stores, None of our favorites but we chose Del Sol Mexican market as they had great inexpensive produce.

Reservations: No

Cell Coverage / WiFi: We had good coverage for Verizon, but no AT&T even with a booster.

Price Paid: Free

Date of visit: Nov 2014

Other:  You are limited to staying for 10 nights during a calendar year here.

Would we come here again?  Yes
