Campground Review: Prado Regional Park,Chino, California

Why we chose here? This was a pure convenience play for us. This was a campground close to where we picked up our Airstream, so we wanted to be near in case anything went wrong in our first few days.  We also needed to pick up our things from San Diego, so this was convenient.

Location: Convenient to shopping and freeways to get around the Orange County or Inland Empire area. The park is quite large and has a lake and disc golf area. It's not the most scenic of spots, and you can hear the PA system from one of the prisons in the area. It was very windy while we were here.

Sites: 75 sites. Large, paved pull through sites with full hookups. Not close to neighbors.

Facilities: Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Disc Golf on site. Laundry facilities.

Groceries: Trader Joe's is in Chino

Reservations: Yes through the San Bernadino County Park system.

Price Paid: $35: $5 reservation. E-W-S

Date of visit: June 2014

Other:  There were lots of bugs while we were here in June. Too many for us to really sit out and be comfortable.  Also it was too windy to have awnings out. There are a few peacocks roaming the park.

Would we come here again? Not for recreation, but if you were visiting friends or family in the area it's a convenient place to be.
